Vision 2026

Next Steps: Walking Worthy

Ephesians 4:1-16

vs. 1 "I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called”

vs. 13 “until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”

What we mean by Walking Worthy:

Definitions:

Walk

Journey, movement, progress… The Christian life involves action.

Worthy

Not that we make ourselves worthy, but we live in light of and in response to the gospel, reflecting our salvation in Christ… Our lives are about his glory and his kingdom.

Together

We’re not alone; we help each other, walking alongside each other, bearing one another’s burdens and joys… Living in unity

We All Deal With Brokenness.

  • Going through seasons of struggle and challenge

  • Living in broken world around us

  • How do I follow Jesus in __________?

  • What’s God’s will in __________?

This Year’s Vision is about Being and Becoming:

  • Living in our identity in Christ

  • Continuing to grow and mature in our faith to become more like Christ

  • Living on mission together as we intentionally shape a Christ-exalting, gospel-centered, gospel-proclaiming culture in our church and in our homes

Our Goal: Maturity in Christ (Eph. 4:13)

How?

Look In

  • Consider your life and your walk with Jesus (Prov. 14:8)

  • How is God wanting you to grow and mature… To make you more like Jesus, to increase your joy in Him, to teach you to trust/rest in Him more, to overcome sin struggles, to be more bold in your faith, etc.?

Look Up

  • Jesus is your goal. Jesus is your motivation. Jesus is your standard. Jesus is your vision.

  • Hebrews 12:1-2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Look Around

  • Consider the “one anothers” of the New Testament - how we are meant to need each other, to live in community together, helping/encouraging/exhorting each other to grow

  • How will you make yourself available to invest in others (not just attend church)?

  • How will you make yourself vulnerable for others to invest in you?

We are all called to grow. Let’s do it together.
